Painted Poem Gallery 「 KIKU-HANABI 」

09-21,2010

It is always nice to welcome the Autumn season with beautiful
Chrysanthemum.
And It is believed that people used to celebrate the Autumn festival
with Chrysanthemum viewing and Chrysanthemum rice wine.

Here is some flower words for Chrysanthemum:
' noble, please trust me, feminine love, purifying, truth love, broken romance '
- and there are some little differences in each colour.

Chrysanthemum symbolizes not only Autumn, but also kindness, a long and strong life.

So I painted this panting for somebody who I'd like to pay my thankfulness and respect to.
And I put my deep wish - that she will live strong and long -
just like a beautiful wild
Chrysanthemum.

Japanese Washi paper collage とも和 ’ TOMOWA ’

09-08,2010

In the days of a primary schoolchild
on the KUSHIRO moor

I saw for a first time
Japanese crane's love dance

That was the way of expressing their love
it was the way of confirming the love

I hear
when the cranes become a pair once
they stay together till one of them dies

How overwhelmed
- they are able to do such beautiful dance
till they die

I find it
terribly
beautiful

Summer to Autumn Painted Poems * To the castle in the sea *

08-19,2010

When I painted this poem and picture,
I thought of a old Japanese fiary tale story I have seen as a child.
I could not forget the story- it grew in me so deep.

I guess It was the first experience to feel the mixture of beauty and loneliness.
- and yet I felt very warm -

A lion at home
A Wagamama
A selfish one
An egoist

And
being in my pace, being myself and being Wagamama

Even if I am told that you are tired of me because I am Wagamama,
I actually think that there is no help for it.

" Am not I Wagamama "  anymore if I learn art of hiding selfishness properly?
" Am I still Wagamama "  even if I cure a kind of the selfishness then?

I only live in a harmony with my natural ego as much as possible.
Isn't a Wagamama a natural egoist?!

A summer collage * A Day Dream *

08-09,2010

She did not talk much.
But she was good at imagining
- she loved to create illusions.
And as time goes by she was getting better and loving more.

At the border between this world and dreams.
She was floated into the countless patterns
and nourished herself and her soul.
Countless colourfull stories healed her heart too.

It might've been away from this side.
Maybe it was a belt of mirror reflecting the flesh.

She only hopes it will be helpful when she meditates next time.

I only - simply-
wanted to use the present progressive verb form as noun.
So I picked the most heart-full and truthful verb form for me.

And I began to knot
each participle to each ball
straight to cursive
short to round

I am glad that essence of each colour that I wanted to transmit
at the end came and popped out.

Summer Painted Poem Gallery : * BAMBOO SPRING*

07-19,2010

TAKEDA means Bamboo Field
Where I brought up was the north of northern island Hokkaido
So despite the name, I had never seen fresh bamboo growing from the earth.
When I was first time in Nara
I saw the green bamboos
a big bamboo forest
tall bamboo heads pushing and looking up the sky
the sky seemed small and far away
I did not know how bamboo bends against the wind
such comforting sound it can make
It reminded me of a long past time

Apparently
Bamboo can live
straight
strong
high
and can change like
hard or soft
always preferred good humidity
never like an extreme dryness

Summer Painted Poem Gallery : * AOI *

07-17,2010

I love this painting

Soft, intimate and dreamy

Slow, floating and a sweet nostalgia

When I painted it
I was thinking of my Japanese friend called AOI who I came across in London while I was still studying English

She later went back to Japan, and we went to our own ways.
We lost contacts over the years but last year she replayed a mail to my card after a long silence

I enclosed this painting, and wrote that I missed her

Summer Painted Poem Gallery : * The dance of KOI *

07-15,2010

Konbanwa!
Here is one of my summer works!
The official translated poem is below the image.

In summer -  I always think of Koi fish no matter where i am!
here comes my poem of the day!

*
KOI KOI KOI
coming coming romance of KOI
my favorite fish is Nishiki KOI

its celebrated colours and texture
such gorgeous forms and lines
a tail like a hand combed paper
such elegant flow and swim
the sound Poch Pocha from the fruitful lips
I don't care not having a ladder to success and imitating a climbing Koi
neither booming business and  following a waterfall swimming Koi

Koi come Koi
Romance come Koi

What I love is brocade coloured Koi
*

*KOI is Japanese carp fish, and also love romance in Japanese, in addition the verb KO-I ( to come in Japanese)
is also used- three KOIs word game.

This painting was my first try to combine with the image of a typical Okinawan Kimono pattern and also KIRIKAMI (Japanese paper cutting) sketch technique.
The colour contrast symbolizes a hot passionated love and romance in summer
The Water element often expresses a flow of love.

A summer Painted Poem for you - * Goldfish catcher Can you catch me?! *

07-10,2010

A summer time in good old - hot Europe.

In such a melting hot July evening

I just try to calm my mind - meet the silence

And

I only think of water - quietly

pochan pochan water bubbles

Shall I go to the Goldfish catching maybe this summer?!

I just hope some cool fresh water bubbles will reach you though from this painted poem

Have a nice summer dream

Spring work* A devoted Flowers*

07-09,2010

It is just so nice at the moment
A lot of flowers everywhere
blossoming around
showing coloures and shapes
floating with textures and their smells

I always loved flowers
But now
I love them even more than never

When I had a total burn-out a few years ago
a Japanese monk asked me
if the flowers and plants at my place were dying soon
yes they were indeed - also I had not seen them healthy neither lively for a while
and I realized I could not remember when I had watered them last

He said ;
Flowers had been just giving you all their vigor
They just give and give till they die
They are such devoted creations

- when I heard that
I just had hot tears on my cheek

Since I am healthier they just spread their energies all over
I've never known how lively they actually were

A little nice flower story for you.

Spring work * The Magic Word*

07-09,2010

Since maybe two years

I've been consciously trying to put my heart-full thankfulness into the word -

whenever I say this word

And try to say more often than before

* Thank you - Arigato - Danke - Merci *

This word - even its sound alone has a wonderful healing effect on people, nature and on myself.

Arigato in Japanese originally means  :

*I thank you for doing so difficult thing*

Arigato that I am lived

It is my most favorite word.

Would you like to give it a try?! - You would be surprised!

A secret place SUSHI SAY

05-08,2010

Rediscovering the pure Japanese skill and taste with Sashimi.

Well well well
many people might know already that the Sushi-Say
is a very authentic restaurant in London,
- specially famous for their pure genuine quality of Sashimi & Sushi and naturally other dishes.
I used to work in their kitchen department  as a student, and I stll do love the dishes there.

A secret hidden place for pleasure hunters!
I must honestly say -  as a Japanese from north Hokkaido region
I surely tasted sooo many soo delicious fresh Sashimis and Sushis.
But Oyakata's magic skills and experience do make so fine tasty slices of fish, it is amazing.
His Sashimi is one of the best ones I have tasted.

Ohhhh!
Just wanna have his Sashimi mix plate "OMAKASE".
I should wait till I go there in summer time!

If you go, just enjoy the taste with whole your senses!

And naturally  take a plesure looking at my new paintings too.

Happi spring days!

Neo-Japonism
-painted poem series- spring collection 2010
7.April to 7.July

Wooooow here I am!
Konnichiwa!
Back in a good old London town!
Sooooo nice to be here!
Amazing spring colours here, much warmer than Freiburg- Germany.
Spring time in London is always my favourite season!

My new paintings are already displayed at the Sushi-Say in North London.
This time I was very much inspired to paint strong colours and more sharper compositions.
Naturally it makes you feel the positive energy of Spring time!!

And I tried to apply the KANA calligraphy as floating background in one of the paintings,
it came out to be pretty unique and intersting!
I hope the viewers and my clients also like them.

Have joyful fun!

But Sooo pity! I can't have Oyakata's beautiful Sashimi and Sushi again!
Ok....next time.
